Gypsy (Dancing Traveler)
I am aware of the ubiquitous rhythms
Which ones do I know?
Of which am I aware?
Can I move within all at once?
Or would my sinews rip and tear?
Should I dance the dance of heaven
While sitting stable on this spinning earth?
Should I swim against the current’s river?
Should I die while giving birth?
Do I follow only what is seen and known,
Or do I step out on the waves of my beating heart?
I am aware of the ubiquitous rhythms
They are flowing from my pen
I choose to dance to my beating heart
I am a traveler of the winds.
I liked this poem. My parent lived like Gypsies and I became one. The wanderer is collecting places and memory for the pen and paper when he decide. Time to rest.
